SEASIDE & BEYOND DESCRIPTION

The Seaside and Beyond is the brainchild of surf icon Rob Machado and the innovative team at Firewire Surfboards. Inspired by legendary Southern California surf icon and shaper Skip Frye, Machado developed this Mid-length fish shape to create a versatile board that could handle a wide range of conditions while minimizing environmental impact.

In Rob's own words: "I've really been wanting to play around with some longer fishy kind of boards for a while now... Ever since I spent some time with Skip Frye and he showed me some of his fishes in the 7 foot range It's been on my mind. I first stretched out the Go Fish and made a 7'0". It worked great and really got my mind spinning. Then I made a 7'0" Seaside and it became one of my favorite boards in my quiver."

The Firewire Seaside and Beyond is suitable for a wide range of surfers, from high-end beginners to advanced surfers. It offers a forgiving outline with plenty of performance, making it ideal for those looking to improve their skills or enjoy a versatile ride

This surfboard excels in a variety of conditions, from micro days to bigger waves, particularly in the 1-5' range. It handles both beach breaks and point breaks well

The Helium core provides a lightweight yet strong construction, while the Volcanic Repreve lamination offers enhanced strength, flexibility, and sustainability. This combination results in an ultra-responsive ride with optimal flex control

While it can handle waves up to shoulder-high, it may not be the best choice for waves over 6 feet, as it can become too loose and difficult to control in bigger conditions. However, some surfers have successfully ridden it in waves up to 6 feet with the right fin setup

The board is designed to work best with a quad fin setup, which provides grip and speed, making it suitable for a variety of wave conditions
