WHAT IS TAYLOR JENSEN SINGLETON?
A modern nose rider designed by Icons of Foam Shaping Champion, Stu Kenson, and 4x World Champion, Taylor Jensen.
A collaboration between past Icons of Foam Shaping Champion Stu Kenson and 4x World Longboard Champion Taylor Jensen. With a blessing and introduction from Dan Mann, Taylor and Stu went to work on designing a modern nose rider that Taylor has been riding on the World Longboard Tour in 2024.
Featuring a wide single concave nose and a tucked hard edge square tail, this board allows long boarders of all levels to 'Hang 10' and turn like a pro without compromising on the agility and ease of owning a lighter longboard. The wide point adds stability on the tip while that tucked hard edge in the tail makes accelerating off the bottom and cutting back a sinch.
With bottom contours that gently flow from single concave in the nose to a slightly rolled bottom thru the middle and flat out the tail, this board is very user friendly, holding nose rides in the steepest of sections, transitioning easily from rail to rail and trims like a dream.
FIREWIRE HELIUM CONSTRUCTION
What is Firewire Surfboards's Helium Technology?
“Helium is light and lively, and great for generating speed in weak waves. LFT is still light, but a little more drivey and solid, and great for controlling speed in better waves.” - Rob Machado
Helium technology in surfboard construction is a proprietary method developed by Firewire Surfboards that utilizes a unique foam core.
Helium surfboards offer a remarkable combination of lightweight design, durability, and enhanced performance, making them an excellent choice for surfers of all skill levels. The lightweight construction allows for superior maneuverability on the water, significantly improving agility and performance during rides. Despite their reduced weight, Helium technology does not compromise on durability; these boards are built to withstand the rigors of surfing, including impacts and abrasions, ensuring they remain reliable over time.
Additionally, the advanced materials used in Helium surfboards contribute to improved performance across various wave conditions, with many surfers noting better speed and responsiveness. Firewire's commitment to sustainability is also a key advantage, as Helium technology incorporates eco-friendly materials that are less harmful to the environment compared to traditional surfboard manufacturing processes.

What kind of waves does the Singleton perform best in?
The Singleton is Taylor Jensen's favorite for small waves that don't offer much punch or power. It offers incredible control and versatility in all conditions.
How does the Singleton perform for noseriding?
The Singleton has a wide single concave nose, a wide point for stability during tip rides, and rail edges designed to limit sliding out during hang fives and hang tens.
How does the Singleton balance performance and traditional longboarding?
Taylor Jensen and Stu Kenson refined the board's outline, curves, rocker profile, bottom contours, and rail edges to strike the perfect balance. It provides ample glide and paddle power while feeling lively.
