Hawaiian South Shore PONCHO Changing Towel

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been at the beach with a towel wrapped around my waist, uncomfortably trying to change into board shorts without dropping the towel and giving everyone in the Kewalos parking lot an unexpected show (or worse yet, getting a ticket for indecent exposure!).

I think pretty much everyone who grew up surfing has had this experience—and it’s even more difficult for those who surf in cold water and have to change into wetsuits!

Fortunately, things have advanced a bit since I was a kid, and we now have changing poncho/towels that make it way easier to get in and out of our surf gear. These aren’t the most high-tech products in the world—they are actually pretty simple—but they are super convenient and I am not sure why they weren’t invented decades ago!
